I am currently making two blankets, which will be available to buy soon from my Etsy shop.
The first blanket is a daisy granny square blanket:
I have a sunflower granny square pattern already (and the yarn to make that blanket!), but when I saw this daisy I knew I had to make it. I found the pattern here. There are so many possibilities with this pattern – maybe a white daisy with a grass green background?
The yarn I am using is Patons Fab DK, in white, pink and lemon. The daisy squares are made using a 4mm hook and the plain squares are made using a 4.5mm hook.
The second blanket is a knitted one:
I haven’t knitted a blanket before, so when I saw this pattern – and saw that it isn’t too hard – I just had to have a go. The pattern can be found here. It is simple, but effective. It would look lovely in any colour too.
The yarn I am using is Jumbo Aran, and I am using 6mm needles. These needles were my Gran’s. I love knitting with her old needles, it feels special.
