Another week has passed! I hope you have had a good one? We seem to have had a really busy one. I have spent most of the past week working on this bed throw:
I really wanted to get it finished, but I have been really tired in the evenings and I haven’t managed it. It measures 225cm wide and 50cm long. It only needs about 5 more rows and a border, but for now I have put it aside.
I am back working on this mermaid tail blanket:
I am using this pattern. The pattern suggests chunky yarn and 6mm hook, but I am using DK yarn and a 4.5mm hook, so I will need to do more rows than the pattern says, but I am enjoying this one. This is the first blanket I have made using the shell stitch, and I love the effect.
Like I said, it has been a busy week for us. Chris and I have managed two date nights – both to the cinema! We have seen the new Star Trek film, and the new Jason Bourne film. We loved both films!
The children had a sleepover at my in-law’s (which is how we managed one of the date nights!)
They had a lovely time! We went up the following day to collect them and to go out for lunch to celebrate my mother-in-law’s birthday. I even let the children get the paints out to make her a birthday card this week – that doesn’t normally happen in this house as I don’t like mess!
It’s not the best photo, but I am proud that I managed to get such a good hand print for Chloe Bean, who is only 10 months old!
We have also done trips to the beach
Sometimes tea needs to be a picnic on the beach! We had spent a lot of the afternoon in the car, so it was good to go out and enjoy the sunshine. I definitely needed the fresh air!
And the most exciting thing to happen this week: I finally got my eyes tested and got new glasses!
I went for a haircut the other week too, so I am feeling pleased at the moment!
What have you been up to this week? What have you been making? Let me know!
