A few weeks ago I was tagged in a Facebook post, asking if I could make a dragon scarf…well, yes I can!
I chatted with the customer, and we agreed on style (3D head and spikes) and the colour. I then offered to do a matching hat as well, which she went for.
What do you think? I love it! (And, much more importantly, does my customer!)
I used this pattern for the dragon head. I used Bernat Pop and a 5.5mm hook.
Those colours! Amazing!
The scarf, I followed this pattern, and used a 6mm hook.
The hat and the spikes I didn’t need a pattern for.
Now this set is for a five year old, so chatting with my customer we decided to add a loop at the back so the scarf doesn’t need to be wrapped around the neck.
So what do you think? I am so proud of this set! You can order one now by visiting my Facebook page, but please note a few things:
- This is NOT a toy! It has not been CE tested.
- This is not available for children under the age of 3
- This is made using acrylic yarn, toy stuffing and plastic buttons.
My children loved this set, so of course that meant they had to have their own!
This one is Thomas’:
The colours in this are gorgeous!
He loves it, so I am happy! He gets lots of comments and compliments on it too, which is lovely to receive.
And this one is Chloe Bean’s. I made this one as a snood because she is two, and the thought of her wrapping it round worries me.
That photo really makes me laugh, she is so cool!
So, dragons anyone? Let me know what you think about these makes!
